Going to Mt. Fuji

A few days ago, we all went to Mt. Fuji with our friends. Our first intention was to go sled down the base of Mt. Fuji. We made it about 90% of the way there, and half way up the hill, the tires started spinning on the ice. We tried and tried, but it was no use. Every car in Japan has the engine and power of a lawn mower, so that didn't help. We ended up turning around and trying a different route, but that didn't work either. Apparently, any hill with a centimeter of snow on it, and more than a 2% incline, our car won't be able to make it. Since none of the routes worked, we decided to go to a little town near Fuji and look at all the shops. We got to ride up the side of the mountain in a tram. We hiked up a little path, and made snowballs in the snow. When everyone had their chance at almost falling off the cliff, we decided to pack it up and go home. We got back on the tram, and got in the car, and drove back home. It was an hour ride back home, but we all managed. Now we know, the thing we need to buy right away, is chains for our tires, to give them a little bit of traction in the snow. Next time you see a picture of Mt. Fuji, it will be me sledding down the mountain. I hope we can go again soon and be able to sled down, or climb it to the top.
